UltraZed_EV cameralink

Hi

I'm wanting to use the camera link & SDI input/outputs on the UltraZed_EV board + carrier card. I've downloaded all the relevant info from this website for the board. I've looked at all the reference design and I can't see which would be the best starting design for what I need. What would you suggest?

    Hi there,

I personally would suggest you start with the VCU TRD port for the UltraZed-EV.

Here is a link to a blog that has a listing of links to everything related to this VCU TRD port
    http://avnet.me/AvnetUZEVVCU

And here is a link to the initial port of the 2019.2 port.  This one is still a work in progress.  So, I would suggest start with the 2018.3, learn about it, then if you are comfortable with it, start looking at the 2019.2 version.

The reason for this, the TRD has quite a few interfaces and you technically do not HAVE to use the VCU if you do not want to.

Take a look at this link for a really cool pictorial that will show all the supported modules

    Hi Dan

thanks for all the useful info above. Its been very helpful. Sadly I wasn't able to https://xterra2.avnet.com/xilinx/zedboard/ultrazed-ev/avnet-uzev-ports.gitI suspect that I don't have the required privileges as it says its unreachable. Any chance you could make this available some other way?

    Hi there,

Sorry you could not access this page.

Can you try the link again?  I tested it this morning on 2 different PCs logged OUT, and was able to see the code.  I'm sorry that it did not work for you.  I know with all that is going on, the servers / networks are getting to capacity - so maybe it was a "glitch"?image

    Hi Dan

sadly, still no joy. Do I need access to the GitLab? I suspect I do but I can't see where I request access. There is a forgot password but no new user option.

    Peter,

I'm sorry you are struggling with this.  The link is public.  That is very strange.  As I mentioned, I accessed this from multiple other PCs.  Some on my VPN, some off, some logged in, some not.  I was using Firefox.  I had success in all cases.

I'll ping the owner and see what he has to say - but again, this SHOULD be a public link to a public repo.

    Peter,

Found the problem.  E14 is modifying the link and you are getting messed up with that.

Please COPY/PASTE the below and you should be good.  The Xterra2 server seems to REALLY not like the added cross-link stuff.  I'll let E14 people know.

It is an http:// link if your browser complains, but it should be able to figure it out (tested in Chrome and Firefox).

    Hi Dan

avnet.me/uz7ev-vcu-trd-2019-2-rel-repo worked and I can now see the download site.

    Thanks

    Pete
