Measuring Power Consumption of the Ultrazed IOCC

Hello there,

I would like to measure the power consumption of the Ultrazed IOCC for different applications. I know that you can measure the power consumption of the Zedboard through the current sense pins (J21).

Are there such current sense pins on the Ultrazed IOCC?

Hello Konze,
Have you tried connecting to the PMBus header on the IO Carrier Card? Doing so you can monitor the power consumption real time. Please see this video http://zedboard.org/videos/ultrazed-power-architecture-overview

I bought the Infineon I2C-USB-Dongle and downloaded the IR PowIRCenter Software. Is there a Board Design for download available for the IR PowIRCenter Software? Since, I'm using the Black UltraZed IOCC (Production Silicon) and the addresses are different from the ones I could find in this PDF http://zedboard.org/sites/default/files/documentations/UltraZed%20IOCC-UG%201v1-1.pdf. Or is there an updated version of this PDF document?

Hey Konze - to monitor the supplies you don't "need" the board design file. If you scan the bus all the supplies should come up. The board design file just names the rails to make it easier to read. Are you able to scan the bus and see the supplies show up? If so, what addresses are showing? The 2 SOM supplies are pmbus 40 and 41 and the carrier should be 42. These are for the EG platform.

Hello Chris,
Can you supply the factory programming file for the IRPS5401 on the IOCC?
I have a custom carrier card which was built duplicating the power supply from the IOCC and would like to start with a known OK configuration to program the PMIC.

Sorry for the delay, working on it. I don't know for sure that the files I have saved locally were the production files so I've requested the final design file from our production team.
