What are the trace lengths going from the UltraZed to the FMC on this card? If they are matched in any way, how so?

    Hello cclark,

You can find the Trace Length report for the PCIe Carrier Card here https://avnet.egnyte.com/dl/uoe4yKND37

As for the SOM the board Trace Lengths are matched. Please refer to the UltraZed HW User Guide http://zedboard.org/support/documentation/14201

    Hi there,

I would actually suggest you make a free request for the Carrier Card SOURCE files through your FAE.  This way you can not only get the trace lengths, but utilize that design as a starting base for your own customer carrier card.

In the mean time, we use this as a guide for layout on our boards:

"Trace length matching to within 10mils pair to pair and do not to exceed 100mils within the group."

We have a TABLE of signals for the SOM, listed in the Carrier Card Designers Guide.  In this case, it has a confusing title of "UltraZed_EG_SOM_Designers_Guide_v1_1" and Confusing file name of 5290-DG-AES-EG-SOM-V1.pdf

You can locate the SOM trace lengths here:

    https://www.element14.com/community/community/designcenter/zedboardcommunity/ultrazed/ultrazed-eg

    Under Layout 5290-DG-AES-EG-SOM-V1.pdf
