Partial Reconfiguragtion support in Ultrazed

Hi,

I have the partial reconfiguration license for the vivado version I am using. But when I try to do it in Ultrazed , specifically when I try to set that property ON using set_propoerty HD.RECONFIGURABLE true [ get_cells <cell_name>] command, I get this error :

ERROR: [Common 17-69] Command failed: HD.RECONFIGURABLE can only be applied for target parts that support Partial Reconfiguration.

I cannot do partial reconfiguration in Ultrazed? Do I need to select different hardware in Vivado that , matches Ultrazed?

Is this related to the discussion in this link? Same reason?

Hi there,

I think you found the answer! The UZ boards are currently built with ES1 silicon. As Xilinx is saying it is disabled for now, I would say that is true.

If you really HAVE to have this immediately, I would suggest you contact your local FAE and see if they can work with Xilinx to provide you an exception. As this is ES1 silicon, I would not expect that for now - however it does not hurt to ask if you can be placed on a pilot program!
