ULTRAZEG EG STARTER KIT POWER ISSUE

brignon
brignon over 6 years ago

Good evening

I purchased recently an Ultrazed starter kit EG. I could run the starter guide and load Linux. I could also run an app Hallo World using JTAG and Vivado+SDK.

Both LED VIN and PG module are green when I turn the power switch ON, the FAN is also turning ON... so everythings looks fine...

BUT 3.3V seems not to be distributed to PMODs and 3.3V and 5V are not distributed to Arduino connector.

I'm wondering what can be the issue and what to do to solve it.

Thanks you in advance for your support.

Best regards

Regis

    Hello Regis,

I am seeing 3.3V on both my Arduino header and all Pmods.

Try this, use your DMM and probe pin 12 on any PMOD connector. To determine pin 12, refer to the silk screen on the board. I noticed that my probes on my DMM were to large to fit in the PMOD connector so I had to probe the through hold were the Pmod connector was soldered to on the bottom of the board. Then of course put the other priobe on GND.

Thanks you for your quick feedback.

I also tested with a multimeter on the PIN 6 and 12 of each PMODs which should be at 3.3V and I have 0V. Also, I did connect a board on the Arduino. When powered by the 3.3 and 5V of the Arduino connectors, LED are turning ON on this board. This works well when connecting for example to the Arduino of my Minized. But on the Ultrazed Carrier, no led are turning ON, the board on the Arduino is not powered.

I also tested the VMON and same 0 volt instead of 3.3 or 5V. In the other hand VIN and PG mode led are turned ON. Ultrascale is booting properly under linux and PS LED is blinking.

Therefore... I'm still lost in this behavior. Could it happen that the PMIC is not properly configured or any other component would be damaged?

I received the kit last week and this behavior is from the beginning.

Any idea of what could lead to it?
