External Thunderbolt 3 PCIe expansion box compatibility with UltraZed-EG SOM PCIe Carrier Card

I am interested in purchasing an UltraZed EG SOM (AES-ZU3EG-1-SOM-I-G) along with the PCIe carrier card (AES-ZU-PCIECC-G). Could anyone tell me whether this setup would be compatible with an external PCIe expansion box (e.g. AKitTiO Thunder3 PCIe Box, https://www.akitio.com/expansion/thunder3-pcie-box) connected via thunderbolt 3 to my development PC?

The PCIe slot of the Thunder3 PCIe Box supports a half-length PCIe card. Avnet UltraZed PCIe Carrier Card is a full-length card and cannot be used in this PCIe box.
