QSPI support

Hello

As always thank you for answering this.

This is a simple question in regards to the QSPI devices listed in Xilinx AR# 65463.

https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/65463.html

It seems that the Micron MT25QU256A is not listed in the supported devices under the Xilinx AR# 65463.  So does the UltraZed support this device for configuration?  It seems strange that you have it on the board but Xilinx doesn't show support for it.

Thank you

Gary

    Hi Gary,

From my understanding Vivado will offically support it in a 2017.x release. I believe you can use the current tools now though. The MT25Q has the same Device ID as the N25Q. It spoofs the tool into thinking it is the N25Q. The MT25Q 256Mb has been fully tested on the UltraZed-EG SOM.

Note that the AR you reference does have the 512Mb, 1Gb, and 2Gb family members listed. Also, the full family is shown on the latest Xilinx Compatibility chart from Micron:
