Ulrazed board preset files in Vivado 2017.2

Hello,

I tried to follow these instructions:

https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Xcell-Daily-Blog/Adam-Taylor-s-MicroZed-Chronicles-Part-170-UltraZed-Edition-Part/ba-p/747681

in order to build a "hello world" example with ultrazed using Vivado 2017.2

In the step that the board preset is applied, in "Run Block Automation", although the preset option is checked, the block I/O remains the same as before running block automation.

I followed the exact same instructions using Vivado 2016.4 and everything run smoothly.

Is there any problem with the board preset files for Vivado 2017.2?

Cheers,

Panos

    I just created a design in 2016.4 and 2017.2. In 2016.4 there are two ports in the Zynq symbol after running the Block Automation that you don't see in the 2017.2 version. If this is what you are referring to, it is perfectly OK. I had made changes to the 2017.2 Board Definition Files to remove those unused ports. Continue with your 2017.2 tutorial and you will not see any issues with your Hello World exmaple design.

    @npoureh

    Thank you very much, for your tests and the explanation.

    I run Adam's tutorial using Vivado 2017.2 and as you said everything went well.
