Questions about the Ultrazed-EG and licensing

If I were to buy an ultrazed-EG today, would it still use an ES1 part? I currently am working on Vivado 2017.2 and want to confirm whether or not I will need to change versions.

 

From what I understand, the AES-ZU7EV-1-SK-G kit does not include a license file. I currently have a license for the XCZU3EG ES1. If I will need to upgrade my license what is the best upgrade path?

    Hi Caio,

     

    If you were to purchase an Ultrazed-EG today it would come with a production silicon 3eg device installed. We are no longer selling UltraZed 3EG SOMs with ES1 silicon. The production silicon devices are currently supported free of charge in Vivado webpack. So no license other then the free webpack license available via Xilinx licensing page is required.

     

    I believe the 3EG device is available in 2017.2 Vivado webpack however I would suggest double checking this.

     

    I would always suggest using the latest Vivado available in any new design effort. So i would suggest upgrading to Vivado webpack 2018.3 if possible.
