Ultrazed-EV SOM eMMC data rate

Hi

 

I am using the Ultrazed-EV starter Kit for the development, I have a use case to run a multimedia GStreamer pipeline that uses the VCU hardware for encoding and stores the encoded stream to eMMC as a storage medium.

 

From the Ultrazed-EV SOM guide its noted that "The Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC peripheral used to control the eMMC flash device (Micron MTFC8GAKAJCN-4M IT). The eMMC flash device can be operated up to 52MHz."

 

From the Zynq UltraScale+ Device TRM- UG1085, from the supported operating modes I see with 52MHz clock frequency, High-Speed DDR mode also is supported ( 100MBps throughput ).

The Datasheet of the Micron MTFC8GAKAJCN-4M IT 8Gb eMMC on SOM is giving data rate as below.

With this clock frequency of 52MHz, what is the maximum data rate that could be achieved for the above requirement?  Or is it like with specific Micron eMMC used can achieve only the above throughputs even though the TRM supports higher modes?

NOTE: We are using the uz7ev_evcc_2019_2.bsp

Can we run operate the eMMC at HS200 based on the SOM configuration?

 

Please help us with a suggestion so as to achieve a throughput that matches our requirements.

    Is this enough to meet your requirements?  What is the resolution and frame rate of the video stream you plan to write to the eMMC?
