UltraZed SATA Performance Test

Hi,

I downloaded the UltraZed_SATA_Performance_Test_Tutorial_PLNX2017_4 and tested with my UltraZed-EV SOM and related Carrier Card. Petalinux correctly detects the disk attached as /dev/sda1 and the SATA I/F is up and running:

SATA link up 6.0 Gbps (SStatus 133 SControl 330)

Nevertheless every test fails while mounting the disk:

mounting /dev/sda1 on /mnt/sda1 failed:Invalid argument

I have tried with different disks but the result is always the same

Any help will be highly appreciated

You might also want to try a more recent PetaLinux BSP for the UltraZed. You can find the BSPs at https://avnet.me/zedupport.

Hi,

I followed your suggestion to try a newer Petalinux BSP. I first tried with BSP 2020.1 (prebuilt image) and the system was not even able to boot. I get a kernel panic at a certain point of linux loading but maybe this will be a topic for another post. Finally I tried BSP 2019.2 and I eventually managed to make the disk visible and mountable under linux.
