250MHz clock from UltraZed-EV Carrier Card

Hello folks.

I am trying to build an ethernet SGMII application on UltraZed-EV SOM with its corresponding carrier card. 

For that i need 250MHz clock that go inside AXI Subsystem 1G/2.5G xilinx IP to pin mgt_clk [ differential clock]

I found in UltraZed-EV Carrier Card schematics [page 4] clock that is seem to fit  , in U6 pins 22,23 I have GTH_REFCLK2_N

and GTH_REFCLK2_P respectively. 

I don't have indication in the system that this clock is actually running, so i wonder under what circumstances it is working?

Do i need to activate it via i2c pins of U6 component? 

Alternatively, can you suggest other suitable clock for my needs?

    There must be something to set up the clock generator chip. I don't have one of these boards so I've no idea when that is done or how. If you have a scope you could look at the clock chip test points…

    If you have a scope you could look at the clock chip test points.

    Or if you have an I2C adapter you could use it to access the clock generator chip via the test header.

    The Avnet people who make the board should be able to help you to find what set up code (if any) there is and where it is.
