Enumerating a pcie card on Ultrazerd-ev in Petalinux environment

Hi.

in short:
I made a very simple hw design consists only of MPsoc. Then build petalinux on the design. Then tried to interface the Ultrazed ev board with a pcie card. Unfortunately, the board can't enumerate any pcie card I've tried. Those pcie card enumerated successfully on Ubunutu PC.
Can you help me understand if it is problem in Vivado settings or petalinux build or something else?

  • Have you ensured to setup the Vivado design as a ROOT PORT instead of as an ENDPOINT? You need to make sure the PCIe Clock is being generated. This means that the 8T49N241 is programmed properly to output the 100MHz PCIe Clock. Easiest way to do that is to have U5 EEPROM programmed with the 8T49N241 contents. There are two resistors near the PCIe connector that could be probed for 100MHz clock. Then, in Petalinux, you will need to ensure that the proper selections are made to turn PCIe on. It

    I will check the 100MHz clock with a scope

    And can u elaborate on which selections do I need to make in petalinux related to pcie?

    Update:

    We checked and indeed find out that we don't get clock to the pcie (PCIe_REFCLK_P, PCIe_REFCLK_N)

    That's because clock generator U6 doesn't supply the required 100MHz clock or any other clock

    We're checking now if it is because we programmed the U6 eeprom and corrupt it,

    and if we can get it back to default configurations
