Reading back PL logic

Dear community,

I'm interested in programming the Zynq PL from the PS. I understand that it is possible to program the PL from a Linux running on the PS, but my question is that is it possible to read back the configuration from the PL? Or, to be more accurate: is it possible to read back the status of the PL (the state of the FF-s, for example) from the PL, thus creating a "snapshot" of it?
