New device with IO ports

Hello,

I am creating a new peripheral on PS. This module writes on LEDs value written by application (SDK) that is why I need to add to my peripheral a new output to connect it to LED. I am creating my project using PlanAhead, how can I configure this output while creating this module on u201CXilinx Platform Studiou201D?

Hi Najem

If you want to run the application from Linux, UG873 has what you're after in chapter 9. They make a counter, but you should be able to adapt it to your needs easily enough. If you want to run it as a standalone application the same procedure applies for the hardware design, just use Xil_Out calls to write to the device.
