Extended MIO to connect ports in to uart

Hello,

I am working on a design and i developped my own uart. I want to implement my design in standealone mode (without ARM processor). I need to connect my component on to serial port (RS232) from the zedboard. I found that i should use Extended MIO to connect ports from PL to the usb-to-uart bridge. But i am not able to do that. I don't know how can i use Extended MIO to configure the bridge.

Any help please ?

So you mean that i can not connect my own uart to the usb-to-uart bridge and use the usb to connect it to my PC ?
When i used Virtex5 for example, i connect it to my PC via RS232. But my probleme here that in zynq i don't have an RS232 connector so i have to pass via usb or other I/O port.

Hello again,

I think i had got the idea. I have to use the PMOD to interface my uart to Zynq. Then I can use the Pmod rs232 to connect it to my PC. That is right ?
