best terminal programs for windows 10 and zedboard

Question

I have tried using tera term to perform the getting started instructions. The terminal window is filled with garbage, I get the image on the display but the terminal does not communicate with the board.

I am an hdl asic designer and have not in the past dealt with boards or software. All I want to do is go(in 32 bit chunks) from/to the windows 10 computer thru the programmable system eventually to the programmable logic fabric.

Usually, when there is garbage in a serial console, it is caused by incorrect baud rate setting.

Please verify that you have the baud rate set correctly.

For Zynq designs, this should be set to 115200.
