Cross Compile in Windows

I am trying to U-Boot on my Zynq FPGA. The very begining step I came across is Cross Compile. As I am using a windows 7 OS I have no clue how to do this.

After all my direct question: Is U-Boot possible in Windows 7 Operating System? I have a license for windows

While it may be possible to build on a Windows machine all of the documentation I have seen assumes building under Linux. Here are a couple of links that might get you started:

But it's way easier to use a VM. There are complete instructions for setting this up on Windows 7 under the Mini-ITX reference designs.
