ADV7511 HDL Reference Design - Vivado

Hi all,

Analog Devices provided the reference HDL design for ADV7511 for zedboard for Vivado.

I downloaded the designs from
http://wiki.analog.com/resources/fpga/docs/hdl#building_on_vivado

Then, when I built the libraries and source the tcl files,

I got errros in Vivado 2014.3

Is there anybody created the projects from tcl?

    Hi,

      At the moment if you want to create the design entirely from the tcl scripts as was done for 2013.4 and 2014.2, you will need to manually update the scripts on your own.  I ran into the same problem when I tried to update the 2013.4 HDMI design for the Mini-ITX to 2014.4.  The simplest way to get a working design is to create a Vivado project using the 2014.2 scripts, then open the Vivado design in 2014.3.  You can use Vivado to update most of the IP, but I found that I needed to manually replace the concat IP with a new version.  I simply deleted the old and added the latest IP, making the same connections as were used in the 2014.2 design.  Once that was done, it built fine in 2013.4, and I was also able to open the design and upgrade the IP in 2014.4 as well (without making any manual changes).  If you want to see the example project for the Mini-ITX as an example, it is posted under the "HDMI Bare Metal Reference Design using ADV7511 and ADI IP" in the Zynq Mini-ITX section.
