seprate PS and PL

Hi all;
I have a ZedBoard (zc7020) and would like to design a system which uses both PS and PL parts but there is not a connection between them. Is it possible to implement this system on a zed board?
Thanks
Arash

update:
Maybe I did not explain my question very well.
Basically,I am going to design a sytem which has two sub-systems.
One uses only PS and another one only PL part.
Each subsystem is isolated and works independently and there is no need to connect them via AXI.
Thanks for your help

    Hi Arash,

    I would recommend checking out the Introduction to Zynq SpeedWay training under the Training section on ZedBoard.org which should give you an idea on how to connect PL up to the PS via the AXI interconnects.

    During the course, through hands on labs, we demonstrate how to configure the PS from scratch for running on ZedBoard and also cover implementing a custom PL peripheral.  By the end the custom PL peripheral is connected to the PS and we demonstrate how to test the PL peripheral using a standalone test application.

    Regards,

    -Kevin

    Take a look at http://zedboard.org/projects , here you can find Xillybus wich provides a connection between PS and PL.
