Hello all!!
I am a new designer with zed-board. I would like to connect an external keyboard to zed-board through USB OTG port. In order to use it i can program with VHDL, in windows 7 environment. I saw this guide (page 12): http://www.zedboard.org/sites/default/files/ZedBoard_HW_UG_v1_3.pdf
where the port's signals are described. I have some questions. If someone can help i really appreciate and thanks in advance. It is a very interesting tool but as i mentioned before i am new and a lot of things look like "mountain". Anyway, here are my questions:
1)Firstly, i saw that there is a description for those signals but they don't say their hardware functionality. What each signal does?
2)Secondly, what is the MIO Bank 1/501? Is this bank a dedicated group of pins? How can i map them in the .ucf file (what is their pin code?).
3)Thirdly, during my project can i declare additional signals and connect them with the USB TOG signals or i need some additional configuration?
