ZedBoard Hardware Design UART issue for differential signal

UART issue for differential signal

I used UART1 for testing the receive and send functions. Everything worked fine if the signal on the tx and rx buses was single end, but it had issue for receiving differential signal.  Is there any solution to get around this?  TIA for  the help.

    UART1 on the ZedBoard is connected to the Cypress USB-to-UART bridge by default. Did you route the UART1 tx and rx signals via EMIO to pins connected to the Zynq PL (Programmable Logic) section? If so, are they connected to IO configured as single ended or differential IO? Do you need an external adapter to convert to RS232 levels?

    Hi Gary,
    I did not use the EMIO pins. I have a USB device equips with RS-485 translator which generates a diff. signal.  I connected the tx and rx line from my device to Zedboard TXS0102DQE U-TXD and U-RXD (between TXS0102 and Cypress USB to UART bridge ic ).  The data sent from zedboard was able to decode by my device, but not the other way around. I modified the uartps_v1_05_a xuartps_selftest.c example for this testing.

    hi,i am testing zedboard. When i test zedboard_CTT_Vivado_2013-4.pdf chapter 2,i have some trouble. At step 15, once i click Run ,then i get:
    1. Check whether board is connected to the system properly.
    2. In case of zynq board, check whether Digilent/Xilinx cable switch settings are correct.
    3. If you are using Xilinx Platform cable USB, ensure that status LED is green.

    i use the usb cable with the board and have install the driver. when i use terminal,the connection is ok,the the board ld10 and ld11 is off. What's wrong with me? I need help.
