How to wake up cpu1 from cpu0

1. I am trying to run freeRtos LwIP application on cpu0 and interrupt based USB mass storage device application on cpu1.

2. Individually they run perfectly, but i want to wake up cpu1 from cpu0.

3. I used the application project of running baremetal on both cpu given under reference design and tutorial of zedboard, but it is not working.
so can anyone tell how to wake cpu1 from cpu0?

    Hello Pamela,

     

    Xilinx has two XAPP application notes dealing with simple AMP configurations using both processors. The most recently updated is XAPP1079, which is running a 'bare metal' app on both processors but may have the best example on how to 'wake cpu1'. The wiki for XAPP1079 is here:

    Hello Gary,

    I tried both the application notes provided by Xilinx, but it is not working for me.

    I defined the starting address of cpu1 in the main of cpu0 and after that written sev() to wake up cpu1, but cpu1 is not starting.

    Can u help me with this????

    Hello Pamela,

     

    I am not sure what you mean when you say that the application notes are not working for you. If you are just reading the app notes and then trying to jump right into your application, perhaps using a different version of the Xilinx tools, that can be problematic. I would suggest that you try to implement one of the application notes as described, using the version of Xilinx tools that it targeted, first. Then, once that is working then either move that to the version of tools you are using and see if you can get that working or change the version of tools you are using for your application. Work one step at a time.

     

    The only other thing I can suggest is to look at Lab 9 of the Avnet Speedway material for Zynq Software:

    There is an example there as well.
