Running RTOS on CPU0 and Linux on CPU1

Hi,

I have implemeted xapp 1079 (Standalone apps on both cpu) and xapp 1078 which runs Linux on CPU0 and RTOS on CPU1.

Now I am trying to run RTOS on CPU0 and Linux on CPU1.

I would like to know whether RTOS can be used as master running on CPU0 and What are the important factors that i need to consider.

It seems you are working with specifics of XAPP1079. You might want to try posting to Xilinx's forum on this.

Try a google search of OpenAMP + Xilinx, there are lots of references that can provide information to move forward. What you want is indeed possible under the full OpenAMP framework, but currently I do not believe there is a Xilinx implementation that puts the RTOS as the master and Linux as the slave. That doesn't mean it isn't possible, as the full OpenAMP framework does not preclude this. But I would expect there will be some extra engineering required to get this to work, as to my knowledge nobody has a working example for Zynq.
