SPI Interface

Question

Hi,
I have a design in which Microblaze read data at its interface and saves data on the Flash Memory (Spansion S25FL256S) available on Zedboard by using Xilinx Quad SPI Core. If some body could help me that at which pins I should connect the SPI Core output pins so that I should be able to connect to the SPI Flash available on board.

Hi Habib,

No, like the QSPI Flash memory, the SD Card interface on the ZedBoard is directly connected to the Zynq PS MIO pins and cannot be driven from the PL.

Just as mentioned above for the QSPI Flash you do have the option of adding a PMOD with an SD Card on it and plug it into one of the ZedBoard PL PMOD connectors.
