Required license for the ZUBoard 1CG

Hello, i'd like to purcharse this board once it's available, but being a hobbyist i'm wondering if there's a free tier of Xilinx tools for PL and linux development for the included SoC (xczu1cg). If negative, how much does a licence for non-commercial use run?

The ZuBoard is supported by the free tools. The larger AMD Xilinx device require a fee for the tools. If you install Vitis, Vivado will be included. https://www.xilinx.com/support/download/index.html…

c_chil is correct. The free tools used to be called WebPACK, but they are now called Vivado ML Standard Edition.

You can see the specific device support at this link, scroll down. The licensed, paid version is called Vivado ML Enterprise Edition.

The old Software Dev Kit is now replaced with Vitis Unified Software Platform.
