I am so confused. I try to build the official ZUBoard PYNQ image...
But: it results in errors!
When building the Overlay - it complains about axi_iic_1 (not available).
When I download, flash and boot the ZUBoard PYNQ image from official PYNQ web-site:
it says: "PYNQ Linux, based on Ubuntu 22.04"
But building the ZUBoard PYNQ via AVNET GitHub does not work on Ubuntu 22.04 (unless
you would modify all the build scripts checking for this 22.04 version).
So, it tells me this:
- the AVNET ZUBoard GitHub repository is not the latest version
- the official ZUBoard PYNQ image, published on PYNQ, is a newer version (Ubuntu 22.04, not 20.04!)
- getting errors when building the AVNET ZUBoard PYNQ as described on GitHub - does not work beacuse
it seems to be an outdated repository
Where is the GitHub for the correct (working) and latest version?
Why AVNET does not update their GitHub?
Why ZUBoard PYNQ image does not enable the eMMC?
(the mmc@ff160000 = sd0 for eMMC module is set to "disabled" in device tree - WHY?)
Dear AVNET team:
Please, please, improve your support for your AVNET ZUBoard (actually an AVNET-TRIA board),
fix the GitHub, provide a working procedure to re-build this image... (e.g. the BDF seems to mismatch with the repository and
worth mentioning the BDF must be installed on AMD/Xilinx Vivado...)
Please, update ZUBoard PYNQ by adding YOUR! eMMC and SSD/M.2 cards.
Thank you.
