Activating Verizon Sim card

skruglewicz
skruglewicz over 4 years ago

Hi all ,

I received my Monarch LTE Development kit today. I'm trudging along try to get up and running. I have a quick question.

The getting started guide supplied with the kit, in section 2.c states, "activate the Verizon Sim card (already fitted to the Monarch Go modem)"

If I activated my device on the ThingSpace website  using the codes on the side of the Kit modem, is my SIM card considered activated?

Is it as simple as plugging the kit it to my PC activating it?

If I go into my ThingSpace account will I see the device activated?

I'll give that a try now. and see how it goes.

I Plugged The board in and went to the ThingSpace and went to "My Things" and it showed connected?

However if I unplug the USB cable from the debug port it will still indicate "connected"?

is there a way on ThingSpace to see if the device is ON?

Is unplugging the usb cable the right way to shutdown the LPC? Or is there a right way to do iit?

    Hi Stephen,

Yes unplugging the USB cable is the correct way to shutdown the LPC. There is not a power on/off on the board. There is a reset though.
