Pins for the MikroE Relay Click

skruglewicz
skruglewicz over 4 years ago

HI jafoste4

I'm using the MicroE relay click with the socket as described

I have a MikroE RELAY CLick

image

My question is can I use the same logic as used in the Workshop3?

Can I set the pins as described in the SDK Blinky example.

How can I set and unset the relay?

    Hi Steve,

Yes, you will need to modify the pin configruations to enable the PWM & CS pins similiarly to how I did it in workshop #3. However you will need to first identify which NXP LPC55S69 pin this is connected to. Utilizing the schematics I'll walk you through this process for your benefit and anyone else whom wants to know how to identify this.

First determine the pinout going from the Shield to the EVK (Taken from Arduino Shield schematic)

    image

Determine where these pins go on the LPC55S69 chip (Taken from EVK Schematic)

    image

As you can see the PWM (wake/gpio) go to PIO1_18, and the CS (LSPI_HS_SSEL1) goes to PIO1_1.

Opening up the datasheet for the LPC55S69 MCU part, these two pins can be configured as the following depedent on how you set it up in the pin config setting. If you configure them both as GPIO you can access them similiarly to the LED blinking example.

    Thanks jafoste4

    For the quick response.

I'll have to steep through these instructions and give it as soon as I get time to fire up the kit.
