What's a Dream SensorBoard?
The Dream SensorBoard is a project to crowd-source what is the ultimate sensor board module for engineers. We’ve made it easy for you to mix and match components to build your own Dream SensorBoard and the options to attach to it either wirelessly or wired.
Why a Dream SensorBoard?
With the advent of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence monitoring environments and the world has never been more important and significant than now, we want you to show the electronics industry which technologies are important to you when you're packaging sensors together for monitoring, and for you to tell them how and what you would use it for. Your feedback could potentially be used in future product development by Molex!
Why do I need to Register or Log In?
You need to be an element14 Community member to create your Dream SensorBoard, your SensorBoard will be saved for you to share and refer to again and again, and it will be attributed to your account, username and job role.
Can I share my SensorBoard on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn?
Absolutely! We actively encourage you to share your SensorBoard with the world! Once you have created your SensorBoard use the share links in the top right corner of your personal SensorBoard page. Encourage your friends to build their SensorBoard and then discuss who has the best design!
Why can't I use the Dream SensorBoard on a mobile device?
Because of the breadth of options available to customise your Dream Sensorboard, the best experience for this is currently on tablets and desktop or laptop computers only.
Can I create more than one SensorBoard?
Yes! Create as many DreamBoards as you want! We really want to see how you would use these.
What are the steps to creating my Dream SensorBoard?
We're glad you asked! You can choose from the options you see as follows:

These different types are as follows:
- SensorBoard -Just the sensor module itself, you can add up to 8 sensors onto this board
- SensorBoard with Wireless Technology - The sensor module with a 'mother board', this allows you to also choose a wireless tech' from the options on the left
- SensorBoard with Hardwired - The sensor module with a 'mother board' again though this one allows you to also choose a 'hardwired' cable technology.
Choose your Connection Type, Parts and Sensors
This is where you get to really put the meat to the bones of your SensorBoard, choosing the sensors and whether or not you want the module directly soldered to the mother board, or with a pin/socket, and if applicable, the wireless tech' and direct attach.

Name your Dream SensorBoard and tell us its Purpose!
This is probably the most important part! Upload an image to represent your board, give it a name that's relevant to you or the project you're using it for, and fill out the description with as much detail as possible as to how you're going to use it and where it will be used.
Save, Publish and Share with the World!
Once your Dream SensorBoard is saved, you can share it however you like, comment on it and reply to other people's comments as well as share it for likes and bookmarks!
