Due to the following reasons, I am commenting on all the details that I have drafted for this dream sensor board down below

    • the 750 character constraint in the description and
    • if I try to edit it and add the details underneath the board design, a new copy of the project is created.

This is "The Sightseer", the Sensor Board concept module which can be used in your IoT projects along with AI/ML for more advanced functionalities.

Some of the important specifications of this board along with the reason for choosing it/ its usage are as follows:

    1. Bus Interface I2C or SPI.

    2. Wireless Technology:- WiFi 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.11 ac

    - for more bandwidth, flexibility and also since it is backward compatible.

    3. Sound:- 130 dB - 20Hz to 20KHz (Superior, High Quality and Audible range)

    - to detect and then process voice.

    4. Gyroscope:- 3 Axes

    5. Accelerometer:- High Res - Heavy Duty (16 bit, +/- 90.0G)

-4 & 5 for identifying position relative to ground and acceleration for stabilization and motion control.

    6. Camera:- 1920x1080 @30fps (Hi-Definition, streaming video)

-for video streaming and computer vision (with selected frames of high image clarity and quality rather using all 30 frames captured in a second).

    7. Humidity - High Accuracy (+/-2.0% from 0-100%RH)

    8. Temperature - Enhanced Accuracy (+/-1 degree Celsius from -40 to 105 degrees Celsius)

-7 & 8 can be used in an IoT Weather station, garden monitoring, etc.

    9. Proximity - Far Range > 0.5m

    - for identifying obstacles and traffic

Some of its uses cases are as follows,

    1. Drones - This can be attached to drones/ quadcopters and the High-resolution Camera can be used for recording and streaming to a control unit, as well as for computer vision to aid identifying person, objects, etc. While the Gyro and Accelerometers can help in adjusting the position of the drone/ quadcopter and can also be used for stabilization of the camera unit (like a Gimbal).

    2. Bikes - Almost the same application as the drones. But in this case, it can also be used to detect bumps in your commute/ journey and then machine learn the data collected to suggest a better route.

    3. Traffic monitoring - This can be placed in front of a vehicle to monitor the traffic (Computer Vision/ Simply use Proximity alone) and can be used to input information into the control system in the vehicle which can alert the driver/ rider of the predicted collision or can be used to avoid collision automatically if it is an electric vehicle.

    4. Baby monitoring - This can be used to monitor babies from remote places and can alert parents when babies cry. Also, the cry can be used to trigger a motor which can swing the baby's cradle gently.

    5. Voice Assistants

    6. Gesture Control

    7. IoT Weather Station

    8. Garden Monitoring

    9. Burglar Monitors

    10. I leave this space for your imagination ... let me know what you think as a use case for this board in the comments section below.
