One of the problems faced by men since the beginning of time is the surveillance and access control to their properties and possessions. Nowadays, being for your home or factory, the need for a solution to this problem is still strong. This board is thought to be the "eye" of an access control solution. The proximity sensor will allow the detection of any approaching object which, in turn, will start the streaming of the video captured from the low resolution camera. The core processing system can then implement any action using the data collected (including face detection/recognition, if used for automatic door/gate access control). Although not designed for use in alarm systems, the sensor could easily be included in such systems.
