For Linux server board I would use 2 DDR rams, power and reset were there is section your CPU and SATA. And for sensors I would add humidity sensor and maybe radiation sensor. Humidity is to warn you when it is to wet (just in case) and radiation, because radiation is bad for all the chips. And so on.
