Anyone know of any example code for reading a passort RFID tag.

Have used RFIDIOt successfully with ACR122U, but this PN512 board is not compatible.

I believe there is also a tamper flag on the passport chip, that if activated may lead to some interesting questions being asked by nice men with rubber gloves at the airport.
