Older Explore-NFC 14 18 sn EM-400503

Hello,

I have already longer time a Explore-NFC 15 18 sn EM 400503, active with RBpi 1B with tags van NXP and Z

unfortunately not already too fast therefore sometimes incomplete ID's.

Now I have a Raspberry Pi 2, with newest software, and SW282711, detect, the tag, but do not reflect the ID.

Installation followed AN 11480 R2.3.

Is the board I have too old with Pi2 or missed there still somewhere what SW, on the Pi 1b natural feather more SW.

    Hi Wilnijv,

There are no different versions of the EXPLORE-NFC available.

If you are using the latest versions of each components, everything should be fine.

What output are you getting and what are you expecting? Could you please give some examples?

    Michael

    Hello

Its clear there is no HW difficult between older and newer types.

On the RBpi 1B I has installed the SW 282710 loaded 22-11-2014. installed about AN11480 from release 1.

On this moment I have installed on my RBpi 2B the SW 282711 last release about the instruction AN11480 rev.2.3 dd 20150407, whit out problems.

But when run the program with <explorenfc-basic> only tag found no tag ID.

Argument –k gives Waiting for tag or divice…..

    On name_lost( ) : :org.neardal

    Tag fond.

On the Pi1 I have output:

    mode : poll
     uid : 0410C2620E2981

    Greatings Wilnijv

It looks like you are using an outdated version of the software. Please use the most recent version of each component. You can download it from [1].

SW282714 should contain everything you need.

I have try newer software package, but the result is the same.

I have concluded that the I2C give different results by testing.

    Hi Wilnijv,

The EXPLORE-NFC is using SPI by default.

Did you also enable the SPI interface in raspi-config?

    Cheers,

    Michael

    Hello  Michael,

I have installed explorenfc-basic, and I have seen that there a different between

the manual AN11480 Rev. 2.4 – 7 September 2015 and the installed programs.

    Libneardal0_0.14.2.1 and libwiringpi2-2.25-1 and neard-explorenfc_0.8-1.

    Running explorenfc-basic-h

    Description only possible options –d, -k, -a, -h  and not the options –w, -t, -l, -c

The last option give also a error.

    Greetings wilnijv

Wilnijv, you are right. Thanks for the note.

I already triggered an update for the software. It will appear in the next days on this page:

    Thanks,

    Michael
