The Mighty Gecko SLWRB4150A wireless radio boards plug into the Main Board provided with the Mighty Gecko Starter Kit. The modular design supports different radio boards, enabling developers to develop ZigBee, Thread, Bluetooth low energy, and proprietary wireless applications. With the supporting Simplicity Studio suite of tools, developers can take advantage of graphical wireless application development; mesh networking debug and packet trace; and visual energy profiling and optimization.

The Wireless Starter Kit Mainboard contains sensors and peripherals demonstrating some of the Mighty Gecko's many capabilities. These together provide all necessary tools for developing a Silicon Labs wireless application.
The WSTK Mainboard is included with all Silicon Labs Wireless Starter Kits. It is not included when purchasing a single radio board.

The SLWRB4150A Radio Board is a single EFR32MG 2400/868 MHz 13 dBm radio board for the Wireless Starter Kit Mainboard. A radio board and a mainboard used together makes a complete development platform for Silicon Labs EFR32 Mighty Gecko Wireless System-on-Chips. The Wireless Starter Kit Mainboard features an on-board J-Link debugger, an Advanced Energy Monitor for real-time current and voltage monitoring, a virtual COM port interface, and access to the Packet Trace Interface (PTI). All debug functionality, including AEM, VCOM and PTI, can also be used towards an external target instead of the connected radio board. To further enhance the WSTK usability, the WSTK Mainboard contains sensors and peripherals demonstrating some of the Wireless SoC's many capabilities.

Note: The Mighty Gecko Wireless Start Kit (SLWSTK6000A) is required to have access to the ZigBee and Thread software stacks.

The EFR32MG1P133F256GM48 (SLWSTK6000A) Mighty Gecko ZigBee and Thread Multiprotocol Wireless SoC includes a ARM Cortex-M4 based microcontroller (MCU) and provides a 16.5 dBm maximum output power. With a receive sensitivity of -101 dBm (250 kbps O-QPSK DSSS) the EFR32MG1P133F256GM48 (SLWSTK6000A) supports a full DSP instruction set and floating point unit to speed computation. This device is also capable of implementing Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity and proprietary wireless protocols at 2.4 GHz and sub-GHz. Built with low-power Gecko Technology which includes innovative low energy techniques, fast wake-up times and energy saving modes the EFR32MG1P133F256GM48 (SLWSTK6000A) is ideal for energy sensitive applications. In addition, this device includes 256 kB Flash, 32 kB RAM, 28 Dig I/O Pins, 7 x 16-bit Timers and multiple communication interfaces.

The Mighty Gecko Wireless Starter Kit includes ZigBee and Thread software stacks, sample code and integrated debug adapter. Multiple radio boards enable developers to create a mesh network and evaluate Mighty Gecko Module and SoCs. With the supporting Simplicity studio suite of tools, developers can take advantage of graphical wireless application development; mesh networking debug and packet trace; and visual energy profiling and optimization.
