The GizmoSphere website has links to Timesys for Linux, and they have a 30 day IDE eval available. I haven't quite figured out what it costs when that 30 days runs out.
Are there other Linux distros available for Gizmo at this point? What are recommendations for something requiring a simple GUI and touchscreen?
Any other programming environment/IDE recommended? Or is that really irrelevant, and a matter of user preference on your coding machine, nothing to do with your target?
I'm interested in wxWidgets. Is it possible to get wx into this thing?
I'm workign on an embedded systems project this fall for my MS program, and I'm interested in Gizmo so would like to use it instead of Rpi. I'll also have a coupld Arduino Unos involved.
On the Gizmo, I'll need modest graphics and touchscreen, a uart for an Xbee module, and wifi networkign via a USB dongle. Any pointers on what to be reading up on for my small application to access these features?
I have a Gizmo 2 and the Explorer board, and I do have a smartprobe + software from a Gizmo 1 kit to assist.
I aprpeciate any pointers to helpful resources!
