Hi,

I am finding a solution to use the Flexcan 1 or 2 on the RiotBoard.

Can someone give me some information about the subject please?

GPIO 7 or 8 is not accessible from the expansion port, so you need to use the SD3 port. But then you have to boot from eMMC as now the tf card port it connected to your CAN transceiver. IMHO, the built-in Android may not be great to try with CAN bus, so I'll install Linux in eMMC instead. The FlexCAN is supported by Linux kernel for quite a while(https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/net/can/flexcan.c).

    FLEXCAN1 RX is multiplexed with GPIO8 / KEYROW2 / SD3CLK

    FLEXCAN1 TX is multiplexed with GPIO7 / KEYCOL2 / SD3CMD

    FLEXCAN2 RX is multiplexed with KEYROW2 / SD3DAT1

    FLEXCAN2 TX is multiplexed with KEYCOL4 / SD3DAT0

I wonder if FLEXCAN1 is usable of the expansion board (GPIO7 & 8 are accessible) ?

This is with the condition of not using the SD3 port and I2C4 function.

    Am I right?

Although the i.MX6 processor supports FlexCAN, there is no connectors on the RIoTBoard. You may want use transceiver like MCP2515MCP2515 which makes use of SPI connectors on the RIoTBoard's expansion port to communicate via CAN bus.
