Hello RIoTboard developers!

 

Want to try Windows Embedded Compact 2013 or Windows Embedded Compact 7 on your RIoTboard? Want to develop applications in C# or VB.NET or plain old C/C++ for your RIoTboard using Visual Studio?

    Thank you for sharing the information of this new Windows Embedded BSP compatible with the i.MX6Solo of the RiOTboard.

    Have you tried to boot RiOTboard with your BSP image from an SD card ?
    Can you share with the community some instructions/recommendations to create a bootable SD Card for RiOTboard with Windows Compact ?

    Some pictures/video of the RiOTboard booting the Windows OS could be another motivation for the community user to try it image

    We support booting from SD, uSD and eMMC on the RIoTboard. Everything, including how to setup the RIoTboard bootswitches and how to flash our bootloader and kernel, is described in our Getting Started Guide.

     

    The SABRE Lite design can only boot from SPI Flash and our bootloader fully supports this as well. The bootloader then proceeds to load the kernel image from SATA, SD or uSD. Full instructions for this can also be found in our Getting Started Guide.

     

    We'll post some videos soon to show WEC7 and WEC2013 booting on the various boards we support at the moment. Currently we support the RIoTboard, SABRE Lite, Device Solution Opal6 and Congatec QMX6. Digi ConnectCore 6 support will follow soon, and we are planning to add support for many more off-the-shelf boards and devkits.
