NTFS pen drive and HDD detection on Debian

bose
bose over 11 years ago

Hello,

I have successfully been able to run video and audio from the Riot Board. But due to storage limitation I would need to connect the USB HDD to the Riot Board or else at least a 16GB Pen drive.

The reason I can't do this from the SD card is because I need capability to arbitrarily plugin more storage if needed.

I have installed 'udisks' package in Debian to safely un-mount the usb disks. However detection of NTFS formatted drives or pen-drives above 1GB capacity are not getting detected.

I am using agrahambell Debian build on a 4GB micro SD card on the RIoT board. You can have a look at my setup shown in my recent RIoTBoard - Review.

Kindly help me out with this.

Thanks in advance,

Warm Regards,

Abhijit Bose

    Hello,

Now there is further problem all the content from agrahambell is missing.

The stock OS is not working at all for me.

The resolution is bloated also there is no information on how to reconfigure the GUI for this OS.

As GNOME is too heavy to run the apps on my side.

Kindly help on how to proceed.

    Warm Regards,

    Abhijit Bose

However detection of NTFS formatted drives or pen-drives above 1GB capacity are not getting detected.

1GB should not be a challenge, the formats are .

NTFS should mount fine, ext4 wil lalso be good.

I have a sandisk cruzer 32Gb and its mounting without any challenges.
