Wrong Image Format for bootm command

Former Member
Former Member over 10 years ago

Hi there, I just had my riotboard and I followed the manual "Flashing OS Image to RIoTboard using Linux" to build a bootable sdcard. When I set the uboot environment and reset, it complains:

MMC read: dev # 1, block # 32768, count 0 ... 0 blocks read: OK

Wrong Image Format for bootm command

ERROR: can't get kernel image!

Anyone helps?

Regards,

Lawrence

    Hi tushar,

Yes I already made sure the dip switch is configured as shown as above image I added these two lines into the uboot, as mentioned in the manual:

    setenv bootargs_mmc 'setenv bootargs ${bootargs} root=/dev/mmcblk1p1 rootwait'

    setenv bootcmd_mmc 'run bootargs_mmc;mmc dev 1;mmc read ${loadaddr} 0x8000x2000;bootm'

    Hi tushar,

Thanks for your respond. I just did some silly mistake over here: it should be 0x800 0x2000 but I mistyped it as 0x8000x2000 and that's why the kernel image couldn't be found.

Sorry for wasting your time haha. Anyway, the tutorial you provide is indeed very useful =)
