Have you finally posted the allegro files? I am going crazy looking for them ...

    Thank you in advance!

    Vandana,

Did you end up posting the layout files somewhere? If not, could you please post the .brd (Allegro layout) file so we can create searchable PDFs out of that (this is very handy for us so we can quickly find components to put the scope on if we need to).

I think the schematic is mislabeled. If you look up the part number provided (MT41K256M16HA-125:E) it is actually 256Mx16 not 128Mx16. The math works out to 1G of RAM.

Where did you pull those specifications from?

    Hi guys!

In RioTboards schematics, in page 10, "DDR3" there are two 128Mx16 memories. That is 2x128Mx16 = 512MBytes, but in the specifications says Riotboard has 1 GByte.

I am wrong? or maybe these are not the last version of the schematics.

    Thanks!

I can upload them if need be, however, I was reviewing the schematics after importing and I found disturbingly many junctions had become crossovers. Due to the size and scope of the project I would be wary of the reliability of my version.

Unfortunately, the only format I can save in is the ones used by Altium.

Actually, that might be useful, there's at least a chance that the upverter file converter can handle it:

That's interesting! - so do you see the value of us generating and providing EAGLE libraries?

    Absolutely !

I understand entirely why the design is done with a high end package like OrCad, however the high cost of a package like this limits the number of people who can benefit from you providing these files quite severely.  Probably mostly to people who have access to OrCad through their employer.

So it depends on what your goals are in releasing the files.  Do you really want to make it a fully OSHW in the style of the Olimex OLinuXino, a mostly Open design in the manner of BeagleBoneBlack, or something else?

It's a fine line to walk, no matter what you do someone will complain about something. Either that the design is too open (from the commercial people), too closed (from the OSHW people), someone will also no doubt say releasing these files is just a token gesture. etc..

I very much do appreciate the release, and here's the sort of thing I'd like to be able to do:  I want to make some small hardware mods to one of my boards and I'm looking for C75, since not all parts have a refdes on the silk screen it could be impossible to find the one part I want. Being able to search for it on the layout and have the pcb editor highlight it would be enormously useful.

(I've already found C75, so no need for any help finding it thanks)
