And I have the Element14 WIFI cape working with the latest Debian. It took a lot of poking around. But God smiled upon the struggle and I found BB-GATEWAY-WL1837-00A0.dtbo in the /lib/firmware directory…

Has anyone gotten this thing to work on a BBB Rev C? I suggest, that they update their documentation and/or show verifiable examples of getting this device to work or stop selling it. I will return this…

From other posts I've found that this wireless cape uses same pins as emmc, so you HAVE to boot from SD card.. the fun part is, in order to do this, you have to push a button inbetween the cape and BB…

These directions do not work for a RevC BeagleBoard Black running Debian.

You can not get to the Beagle after boot via Putty and can not see the video output.

The CAPE doesn't work with the latest software as the Readme states

    Hi,

Is there any update on using it on eMMC? Every time I make changes to the uENV.txt file as mentioned above, my Beagle Bone Black get stuck on boot with all the lights on. I have to re-flash the OS every time to get back in.

    Hi-

Wondering if any of you had any luck with the cape using the BBB and Debian 9-x?

It's as if all examples use every other image and/ or SDK but the easiest and most common, i.e. Debian?

And if its so simple why not write a 5(ish) step guide?

I'm well aware of others who are also completely frustrated with any info. Even Mr. Nelson who's info has helped me immensely didn't seem to be aware that this cape had a more updated chip (the WL1837 as opposed to the WL1835 on the BBBW) until I saw a user pose a question re a function only available on the WL1837 (its many months ago at this point). So no one even told the persons who could help their sales most. I'm sure some healthy gift cards to these few would make our lives much easier, TI for sure does well. IDK, making money is not seem to be a goal. Maybe i'll direct my comments to the board.
