And I have the Element14 WIFI cape working with the latest Debian. It took a lot of poking around. But God smiled upon the struggle and I found BB-GATEWAY-WL1837-00A0.dtbo in the /lib/firmware directory…

Has anyone gotten this thing to work on a BBB Rev C? I suggest, that they update their documentation and/or show verifiable examples of getting this device to work or stop selling it. I will return this…

A related question to the one I posted above- The instructions reference flashing a SD card with the image required to run the cape. Flashing the card will delete the image currently on the card which is the Debian version that is running the Beaglebone. The cape uses the same pins as the EMMC and so the board won't be able to boot properly if there is no image on the card. I would like to understand functionally how this works.

I am having the same issue. I followed the instructions in the read me with no success. I am attempting to get the cape to function with a beaglebone black. I cant seem to find anyone who's completed this task successfully.

Having followed the instructions, the OS still doesn't recognize the device. I'm seeing these messages from the capemgr:

    [    0.000000] Kernel command line: console=tty0 console=ttyO0,115200n8 bone_capemgr.enable_partno=BB-BONE-WL183 root=/dev/mmcblk0p1 rootfstype=ext4 rootwait coherent_pool=1M quiet net.ifnames=0 cape_universal=enable

I see there's another dtb in the latest debian image named: am335x-boneblack-wl1835mod.dtb
Should we be using that or the: am335x-boneblack-overlay.dtb   ?

Also: Where can I find the documentation on the jumper pin-outs?

The instructions were intended to be used with a firmware image running off the inserted SD card.  It was not verified on the eMMC.  In fact I believe the inserted Cape may not function properly if running off of the eMMC.

So, can you please try running the image from an SD card and report back the functionality?

    Thank you.
