Kit Overview
The ADIS16407/PCBADIS16407/PCB is a breakout board which includes one ADIS16407BMLZADIS16407BMLZ and one interface PCB that simplifies the process of prototyping during the early stages of system design and evaluation. The interface PCB simplifies the process of integrating these products into an existing processor system. The ADIS16407does not require any external capacitors for normal operation; therefore, the interface PCB does not use the C1/C2 pads
The ADIS16407BMLZADIS16407BMLZ is a fully-calibrated, MEMS IMU, which provides a serial peripheral interface (SPI) for all digital communications. It provides a dual-row, 24-pin connector interface that minimizes board space but does not support standard ribbon cable connections. The interface PCB provides access to the ADIS16407BMLZ, using dual-row, 12-pin connectors, which supports standard ribbon cable systems and hand-soldering connection techniques.
The ADIS16407ADIS16407 iSensor device is a complete inertial system that includes a tri-axis gyroscope, a tri-axis accelerometer, tri-axis magnetometer and pressure sensor. Each sensor in the ADIS16407 combines industry-leading iMEMS technology with signal conditioning that optimizes dynamic performance. The factory calibration characterizes each sensor for sensitivity, bias, alignment, and linear acceleration (gyro bias). As a result, each sensor has its own dynamic compensation formulas that provide accurate sensor measurements.
The ADIS16407ADIS16407 provides a simple, cost-effective method for integrating accurate, multiaxis inertial sensing into industrial systems, especially when compared with the complexity and investment associated with discrete designs. All necessary motion testing and calibration are part of the production process at the factory, greatly reducing system integration time. Tight orthogonal alignment simplifies inertial frame alignment in navigation systems. The SPI and register structure provide a simple interface for data collection and configuration control.
