Grounds connected by polygons but pads are not - 1 files [1/3] - image1.gif [1/1]

Hello,

I am desining a board with 12 GND pads. I have splitted the ground

polygon, but they are connected on a single point. Still, some pads are

asking for a track connection between them, although they are connected

to the GND polygon. I have never seen this error, I have designed some

boards using the same principle... picture attached: blue and

highlighted is the GND layer and pads... and in the green circle are the

airwires connecting GND pads. On the schematic, all GND pins are

connected together. Any ideias?

Regards,

Thiago

Its a bit lowres image, but Ill try to make something out..

Did you check the airwire name if it's really GND?

I am a bit puzzled why the airwire goes all the way to the pad and not to

the nearest via, so I suspect that this is a different net.

Could there be two pads almost on top of each other in the edge connector

    (pcie?) and one isnt reached?

(some of your tracks looks insanely thin btw)

    Hi Morten,

Sorry for the lowres image, it is not allowed attachments bigger than

    50k, too low.

Well, I decided to redo all the GND polygons, and it worked... I still

don?t understand why it worked, but anyway... weird... problem solved image

    Sorry for the lame question!

Some tracks are 4mils wide... I?ll try to make them larger if possible.

    Regards,
