Hello

1.is there ulp or command for copy my board outline from layer 20 (dimension ??) to other layers (29 30) or or if no how do make this ??

2. is posible to run cam job from script or ulp ??

3. how ot copy one board to another ?? is it poisble by script or ??

Hi Jesper,

use CTRL + left mouse button with the ROUTE command to start your routing at any position on a wire or a via.

I have been working with eagle for about a year now  and one thing is bugging me. when designing a pcb i wanted to connect  two traces of the same net. the airwire is where the traces come closest  to each other but i want to route it from a different place on one of  the traces.

for example:

if  i want to rouet directly from R1 to R2 i cant do that with the ROUTE  tool because it will only start from where the airwire starts. i now do  that piece by using WIRE tool, how ever that doesnt highlite the traces  and it doesnt snap to the exact position of a pad. is there a better way  to route directly from R1 to R2 ?

i have found my answer. by using ctrl when clicking it will start at that pad.

Hi Steve,

when you are ROUTEing the signal and you want to set a via at the end of the trace use Shift + left mouse button. EAGLE automatically places a via then.

I have a basic question regarding routing multi layer boards. This is my first 4 layer board and I have set up layers 2 and 15 as the inner layers. One is $VCC and the other is $GND. I have outlined the plane fill area on both innner layers. My question is this: When I am manually routing a trace and I want to connect to an inner layer I can't figure out how to do it and I can't find it described anywhere in the documentation. I have tried routing the signal to an open area on the board and then selecting the desired layer, such as $GND, and when I click it just ends the trace without a via on leaves the airwire connected to that spot. I know I'm missing something basic here. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

drill-aid.ulp is no longer neccessary. The EPS device draws the pads with a defined hole diameter. IMHO the line

   "      /d  5000 def\n  %% But override it to 0.5mm\n"\

defines the diameter of the opening in the pad.

Thanks Richard, perfect.  I added these to the DEF file, changed my CAM job to use the modified driver, and my output PS file now has the drill holes.  Does this negate the need to use the drill-aid?  I tested it out and it seems that even after I've taken the drill layer 116 off, I get the modified holes. Is there a way (or a need??) to specify the drill hole equivalent that the drill-aid script did?
