Alpha Wire is proud to announce the launch of its latest product line, ThermoThin. As the demand for smaller wire and cable becomes more apparent, Alpha Wire now offers ultra-thin hook-up wire with high-temperature capabilities. ThermoThin hook-up wire is built to withstand temperatures ranging from -150°C up to +300°C. In meeting the demand for a smaller wire, Alpha Wire looks to serve such industries as military, oil & gas, energy generation, and semiconductor applications with superior performance in extreme temperatures.

Alpha’s ThermoThin Hook-Up wire (36 AWG to 16 AWG) features nickel-plated copper conductors and ECA fluoropolymer insulation. For 30 AWG and larger, ThermoThin passes UL AWM 11540, UL 80°C Oil, and UL horizontal flame rating. ThermoThin wire is RoHS2 and REACH compliant and has excellent UV, chemical, and water resistance. Upon launch, ThermoThin will be available in 10 standard jacket colors and 100 FT (30.5 m) or 1000 FT (305 m) put up lengths.

To learn more about the new ThermoThin product line, please contact your local Alpha Wire representative.

    Hi Keith,

Wires are the arteries and veins of the electronic creation. I personally have always had a fascination for wire technology and I am always on the outlook for something new and unique. I received the samples of the new Thermal Thin wire that you sent. I will be doing some experiments with them tonight and if I can get enough results of interest I will write a short blog. In the meantime my post to this thread should bring your article back to the top of the pile.

    Thanks for the Samples

    John

    Hi Kieth,

Thanks for the post. I have requested a sample to experiment with and I will blog about my results. If you are a wire expert it would be nice if you continued to participate on our web site as your insights in some of our discussions would be valuable.
