I'm not sure if anyone noticed it, I have two licenses for CircuitStudio, I have aquired it in less than a year ago (sptember to be more exact), and today I'm making a new installation on a new computer, the Pdouct Nanme in the licenses have changed from CircuitStudio to CircuitMaker Pro as you can see here:

Just to let you know, seems like things are moving forward!

The license and the name of the product is linked to your online account hence the change of the name of product is done by altium licensing server. I just wait for altium to anounce the update for circuintmaker…

At this rate I would suggest migrating to KiCad ................this has been an epic waste ot time, money and lost productivity. Altium still keeps trying to sell me a full blown version of Altium feels…

KiCad - was quite primitive but deserves an occasional look. AD is a hard working day to day professional tool. CS (and hopefully CM-Pro) are close (ok, distant in some areas) siblings. This gap hopefully…

I am not sure about that. if the element14 (Farnell) was the issue in hindering the releas of the CM Pro I would expect the altium page:

    https://www.altium.com/circuitstudio/

to change  to show something like CircuitMaker Pro 2.1 out now with the links to buy it. I am sure Farnell wuld gladly take the comision money on selling the product.

I don't disagree, but ultimately after a lot of word dancing and them telling me to talk to Farnel, I asked a straight question: 'Is Circuitmaker Pro Ready?'. One word answer, 'Yes'.

    That was Altium chat support.

    So????

I hope Farnell is monitoring this thread.  I'm in the US and do a fair amount of business with Newark, but I don't believe they're in the loop.

If the package is ready, please allow Altium to release it to existing customers.  If you have a process for new product introduction that takes time, please do not prevent Altium's post of this update to us.

Thank you very much, you will save us many hours on old problems which are now gone !

I bought Circuit Studio about a month ago (not sure if that was the right thing to now) and I was issued straight up with a CircuitMaker Pro license. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Element 14 holding things up, it took ages just to get a license from them, over a week to get something that should have taken literally minutes online, and then another 2-3 weeks before my account was debited. Just bizarre, especially for a tech company...

I can't imagine why Altium would be dragging their feet on a finished product, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the bottleneck considering the exclusive arrangement they have with E14.

If this is inded the issue with element14 (Farnell Newark) I think we will need to apply some pressure to element 14. The only way i know is to adwise my company to stop buying stuff from Farnell and move to different supplier until they clean their act..

I attempted to contact Newark this morning and it was another exercise in futility after doing business with them.  Any call for sales or customer service go to India.  I have nothing against global support after hours but during the day, I want to speak to a North American agent.

The phone numbers in Chicago for Newark and for Element14 are both disconnected.  On a Google search for Newark in Chicago, the brief summary of the company gets just about the lowest rating on earth for customer service.

After dealing with Newark for over 40 years and professionally with Avnet for 30 or so, I'm disgusted and will contact the US President of sales, Uma Pingali.

My assumption is that until the code for Circuit Maker 2.0 is stabilized Altium doesn't want to release Circuit Maker Pro (they're likely based on similar code, and CM2 is a mess - but it's getting better, SLOWLY).

Farnell saying Circuit Studio will be replaced by Circuit Maker Pro as a product but release date from Altium is delayed. Altium saying we don't really know when the release will be for Circuit Maker Pro but usually "new release" events take place around end of the year...fingers crossed.

Likely another 6 months in the waiting. In the mean time Fusion 360 has drastically improved its layout and service offering with mechanical parts co-design and thermomechanical simulation offering.

KiCAD has improved as well with new features being added regularly. So overall tough situation for Altium in this entry/light professional development market.

Thanks and interesting as Altium told me it was ready but Element 14 were in control of release.

Just saw this on the Altium site, posted a few days ago. 'Going forward' is usually PR speak for 'from now on'.
