CircuitStudio - Missing "Re-Annotate" Button

Former Member
Former Member over 9 years ago

Hi,

I´m using Circuitstudio Version 1.1.0 (Build 44421) and try to annotate the components according to the coordinates on the pcb. This Feature is described in the online documentation see Schematic Editing Strategies | Online Documentation for Altium Products . But in "PCB--> Tools" is no "Annotation"-Button".

Is there another solution? How do I directly contact circuitstudio?

    Hi,

see this (point 26 on page 5): http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1957823.pdf

I dont understand it very well, but its something about re-annotation in CS...Perhaps it helps You...

    Hi,

    thanks for your answer.

Seems that a automatc re-annotation is not available in CS. But in the Schematic I found "Back Annotate". This function is using a ".was"-file to rename the Designators. Normally this ASCII-file is produced by Altium PCB. My idea is to use such a file. I only have to create it manually. To do this I need some information about the stucture of this file...but I can´t find an example.

    Hi Sven,

Not sure if it is a new feature, but there is a re-annotate button on the Tools ribbon now (V1.2.0)

in the PCB editor. This creates the 'was' file.

    Regards,

    Darren

    Hi Sven,

The re-annotate feature is now available in the new release v1.2 image. Can you please update your installation to the latest version and have a look? Do let us know if you feel any other features are a "must-have". Thanks.

    Cheers,

    Ashok R.
